Campus Commuter
On The Road
Again
By Brian Peroni
Commuter
spirit was flying high at Wednesday night’s men’s basketball game
against the Siena Saints.
Free
food by Aunt Martha’s Funnel Cakes was a highlight of the evenings’
festivities, which was sponsored by the Association of Commuting Students
(ACS). ACS had hoped that this would entice commuters to attend the game.
It
is dedicated to involving commuters in campus activities. Next month is
“Commuter Spirit” month. The next ACS event is going to be an ice
skating trip on March 7. Look for more information in upcoming weeks.
No
one knows more about the hustle and bustle in the morning better than
commuters. ACS sponsors Coffee Hours twice a month outside of the Student
Center. Free coffee and danish definitely gets the morning going.
The
best way to get a great experience and the most fun out of being a commuter is
to get involved. Rider offers a lot of opportunities for commuting students to
be involved in campus activities. Take a chance, and you’ll be “on
the road” to commuter success.
