Earl Richard of Cornwall summoned two knights from each shire and all of King Henry III’s barons to meet while the King was fighting in France. This day celebrates the anniversary of Britain’s Parliment.

Milan, Ohio

Though he eventually settled in New Jersey, Thomas Alva Edison was born on this day. He is credited with many inventions including the light bulb, phonograph and even the electric chair.

 

February 12, 1809:

Shropshire, England

No could have ever imagined the impact on religion and eduction that a single man could have. On this day, Charles Darwin was born. Though his ideas became misconstrued, but he simply observed that those who can adapt will endure and progress.
