Innuendos

Soul mates

There is this idea people have about the possibility of a soul mate. This is the belief that there is but one single perfect love for everyone. I certainly believe in soul mates, but is it a guarantee in life that everyone will find their supposed one true love?

My qualm with this idea is how it works. Do people just have to sit back and eventually their soul mate will just walk into their lives, or do they have to go out and play the field to find their match? This is one of those questions that one will never know the answer to. I believe that finding a soul mate requires a little bit of both of these approaches.

One cannot sit in his or her house all the time and expect to meet anyone that way, not unless your soul mate is a U.S. postal carrier. I think once you are out in the public eye, it is easier to find that special someone.

When you go out into the world, it is then that soul mates will be drawn together. You will never know where your perfect love will be or when you will connect. You might have known him or her all your life, or you may not.  For all you know, he or she could be that person you were making eye contact with from across the room in speech class last semester.

Everyone should have faith that they will find their perfect mate. I don’t think you and your soul mate will pass each other by. I strongly believe in true love, and I don’t think anything would prevent it. It may take a bit of trial and error, but it is something worth working for. In my opinion, nothing else on this earth could be better than true love. Not all the money, power, success or fame in the world could compare to the feeling of knowing that there is one person who loves you unconditionally.
