Letter to the Editor:
'R' stands for reserved
The bright orange stickers marked with a “Z” can be seen from rows away. However, it seems that Public Safety has been spending all of its time stalking the 15-minute parking spaces in front of Gee Hall instead of bothering to take an occasional stroll through Resident Lot and Daly’s Student Lot (the gravel lot).
For the freshmen who never got (or ignored) the memo, they are to park in Z-lot — the one past the Public Safety kiosk. For those sophomores who have yet to get their yellow parking stickers, get on it. Public Safety, the freshmen parking in “unauthorized lots” seem to be an untapped source of income.
Freshmen, I am sorry that this will cause you to have two minutes less with your girl/boyfriend at home on the weekend, but those of us who have internships, student teaching and off-campus assignments want our parking spots back. I promise, you will feel the same when you are a senior if you have to trek to Z-Lot at 5 a.m., because all of the spots are taken in R-Lot.
