Films shown to juries and a puzzling David Lynch movie will be discussed as part of the “Movies in America” guest speaker series.
Professor Jessica M. Silbey, of Suffolk University Law School, will speak on Filming in the Precinct House: Those Troubling Video-taped Confessions on Wednesday, Oct. 18, from
4:30 – 6 p.m. in Sweigart Auditorium 115.
Author Dr. Martha P. Nochimson, will discuss All I Need is the Girl: The Life and Death of Creativity in David Lynch’s ‘Mulholland Drive’ on Monday, Nov. 13 from
4:30 – 6 p.m. in Sweigart Auditorium 115.
Professor Silbey teaches constitutional law and has written on film, law and literature in Columbia Journal of Law and the Arts and Law and Social Inquiry.
Dr. Nochimson is a film scholar whose publications range from books on David Lynch, to the soap opera and screen couple chemistry.
