Lights out
When turning out the lights, be sure to use the light switch, but don’t break it. On Sunday, Oct. 8, at 3:22 a.m., Public Safety was alerted by a Gee resident advisor that a light fixture in the stairwell was broken. Upon arrival, they found an unknown object was used to break two fixtures. Facilities was alerted and the cost of repair is about $200.
Surprising violation
Here’s a violation that is barely ever seen on campus. On Sunday, Oct. 8, at 1:24 a.m., while on routine patrol in Poyda, Public Safety observed a female student vomiting in the bathroom. The student then went back to her room, and the officers went to her door to check on her condition. When the student opened her door, they saw an open bottle of wine and noticed that she was intoxicated. After determining she did not need medical attention, she was cited by Public Safety for underage drinking.
Busted table
Calm down, it’s just Ping-Pong. On Thursday, Oct. 5, Public Safety was alerted to an incident in the Student Recreation Center involving a Ping-Pong table from the previous day. While playing a game of Ping-Pong on Oct. 4, around 10:13 p.m., a student intentionally damaged the table. The staff member on duty alerted Public Safety the next day. The student’s gaming privileges were suspended until further notice and the investigation is continuing.
Again?
A gazebo on campus was damaged for the umpteenth time. On Monday, Oct. 9, the gazebo by Gill Memorial Chapel had one of it railings kicked or pushed out. As of this time there are no suspects and the investigation is continuing. Anyone with information, call Public Safety at x. 5029. |
