The Real World After Rider: Loan debts averaging over $30G

Graduation from Rider is usually viewed as a time of celebration and anticipation, but for many students it also means a time to start trying to dig out from a surprisingly deep pile of student loans. How deep? Freshman Haben Mengistu gets a head start on the bills, timesheets, contracts and other documents that are used heavily before, during and after a student’s term at Rider. According to statistics from U.S. News and World Report, approximately 68 percent of Rider students will be in debt with an average amount of $30,519.
