A journalist since 1981 who continues to work professionally part
time, Dr.
McKinley teaches writing, graphic design, and multimedia. Her research
focuses on television and identity formation and the social construction
of the
news. She is the author of "Beverly Hills 90210": Television,
Gender, and
Identity, published by the University of Pennsylvania Press, and she
is currently
working on a study of "Dawson’s Creek." She
is also a part-time musician.

Dr.
Wang teaches intercultural and interpersonal communication as well as
communication
theory and speech. A prolific researcher, she studies various aspects
of multicultural
and intercultural communication. In 1995, she participated in the Non-Government
Organization Forum
held in conjunction with the Fourth United Nations Conference on Women
in China. She is the author
of the book, "A Cross cultural Study on Assertiveness of Chinese
and American College Students"(1996).

is our resident new media specialist. His expertise lies in the area
of graphic communication in both print and digital media. His design is
also combined
with online database and web programming. His research focuses on computer-
mediated communication, visual communication, new media communication,
and semiotic analysis of the Internet.
